Frequently
Asked Questions

Stories of transformation

Your first appointment is called an intake or initial consultation. Your therapist will ask questions about your background, current concerns, medical history, and what brings you in. This helps them understand your situation and determine the best approach for your care. The session is confidential and judgment-free. Come prepared to be open and honest about what you’re experiencing.

The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and treatment plan. Many clients start with weekly sessions (typically 50-60 minutes). Some may benefit from twice-weekly sessions, while others transition to bi-weekly or monthly sessions as they progress. Your therapist will work with you to determine the best schedule for your situation.

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice. Everything you share with your therapist is protected by law and professional ethics. Your therapist cannot share information without your written consent, with very limited exceptions:

  • If you express intent to harm yourself or others
  • If there is suspected child abuse or neglect
  • If required by court order

CWCSS accepts most major insurance plans including Medicaid, commercial insurance, and more. Please contact us at (850) 643-1033 or info@cwcssbh.com to verify your specific plan. We also offer self-pay options for those without insurance.

Life happens! We understand that sometimes you need to reschedule. Please provide at least 24 hours notice when possible to cancel or reschedule. Last-minute cancellations may result in a cancellation fee. Contact us at (850) 643-1033 to reschedule.

The length of therapy varies based on your goals and needs. Some people benefit from short-term therapy (8-12 sessions), while others may continue longer. Your therapist will work with you to set goals and monitor progress. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all — your treatment plan is tailored to you.

Getting started is simple! Call us at (850) 643-1033, email info@cwcssbh.com, or fill out our contact form on the Contact page. A team member will reach out to schedule your intake appointment, usually within 3-5 business days.
